Cooking classes, group or customized, are held at the Diadema Cooking School, located just a few steps away from the Relais.

Inspired by our Food & Wine philosophy at Relais Villa Olmo we offer a variety of activities and experiences each carefully crafted to enable our guests to enjoy the pleasures of authentic Tuscan lifestyle and discover the Chianti hillside and Florence.
To give our guests the chance of taking an insider’s view of Tuscany’s gastronomy and precious wines, and the thrill of a hands-on experience, we create one-of-a-kind customized cooking classes focusing on one or more of Tuscan and/or Italian staples.
Following our charismatic chefs’ tips guests will be able to master the art of mixing the dough and rolling out a picture-perfect pizza, learn the best combination of flavors for pasta sauces, and become pros in the preparation of a full traditional Tuscan meal!

Florence Market Tour and Tuscan Cooking Class

 

A comfortable minivan will take you to Florence on a beautiful 25 min drive.
Explore Florence’s colorful central grocery market and get behind a countryside stove to master the art of Tuscan cooking led by a pro! Among the innumerable cooking classes in Tuscany our signature Florence Market Tour and Tuscan Cooking Class is the most diverting and most beloved.
Travel comfortably to Florence city center, just a pleasant 25-minute drive away, aboard a private minivan, and enjoy a scenic stroll to the lively daily market. Led by your dedicated English-speaking guide roam the market and browse through the stalls piled high with tempting fresh produce and manned by friendly butchers, farmers and bakers. Liaise with the vendors and locals, sample the products and then travel back to the countryside ready to cook! Follow your exceptional teacher, a fascinating expert chef, pick crisp organic vegetables and herbs in the kitchen garden and dive into the luscious world of Tuscan cuisine. Learn about the main ingredients, seasonings and herbs used, follow your chef’s advice and tips, and prove your ability and talent.

Measure, mince, learn to knead dough and roll out perfect pasta and…make sure you taste it to get it just right! Your menu will vary depending on the season but, among the rest, will certainly comprise two kinds of home-made hand-rolled pasta (such as pappardelle and ravioli) and dessert.
When all is ready take a seat, unwind and savor the unique flavor of the best meal ever: the one you made yourself in the heart of Chianti, accompanied by a selection of fine wines including a delicious typical dessert blend.
